What is a Dodger?
A dodger (AKA a spray-hood) is a canvas with clear windows that is supported by a frame structure providing the helmsman and other occupants of the yacht protection from wind, spray and rain. It is designed to cover the cockpit and entrance to the interior of the vessel.
Other types of shelter on boats include Targa tops, Bimini Tops and Awnings.
